How to Home Roast Coffee Beans

Everyone loves a cup of coffee. Even when the coffee beans are roasted at home by yourself. There is no greater joy than to sit down and take a sip of freshly brewed coffee in which you actively participated in the roast. For those who want to start their own technique of roasting coffee beans, the following steps: 

1. First, you need to find your equipment. Poppers blown hot air are large and easy to use. If you do not, you can use a stove, a stove or a stove popper in the oven. However, there are small coffee roasting equipment available in the market today that you can easily use for convenience. 

2. Choose the green coffee of your choice. Since the basic approach is roasting, you want to find good quality beans of green coffee. There are a variety of beans to choose from and they depend on the region to region or country to country. It is important to choose the one you love. 

3. Place the beans in the pan (if you use other equipment, you can do) and turn your stove over medium-high.

If you use a device in the home roasting, which can handle only small amounts of beans at a time, roasting may take up to 10 minutes. 

6. You know the roasting process is completed when the seeds start to get a little greasy. This means that the natural oils from the beans have been released. 

7. When you are finished roasting, place the beans on a plate or a large container that is covered with paper towels or cloth. This is done to absorb any excess oil.  

8. Once they are cool, you can now store them in an airtight container. These beans typically last up to two weeks without merit. 

9. You can determine the type of roast you want the set temperature. For flavor darker and more daring like Turkish or Italian roast, roast them at 250 C. Let them turn completely dark but not burned. For lighter coffee, coffee beans roasted at 195 C. The beans here are light brown with distinct flavors of high acidity.

What Are the Different Types of Coffee?

Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world and is sold in a variety of styles, tastes and brands. Despite all this variety when it comes down to it, all different types come from only two different kinds of beans: coffee beans arabica and robusta coffee beans. The flavor of the grains is then decided on where they come from and how they are prepared.   

Arabica coffee beans   

Arabica coffee beans are the type of bean that is most commonly used. In fact, three out of four cups of coffee made from Arabica coffee beans. Of the two types of beans, they are considered the best beans with more flavor. Arabica is mainly grown in Central and South America, and Africa, but can be grown throughout the world. These grains are used to make coffee types commonly done in cafes and coffee machines at home.

The robusta variety can be grown throughout the world and are much easier to Arabica beans grown. This type is used in about 25% of different types of coffee are usually blends of instant coffee, freeze-dried coffee and coffee. It's cheaper than other types of beans and they are commonly used in restaurants. Robusta beans have twice as much caffeine as you find in the arabica coffee beans, making them popular for some people.
 

How are different flavors Made
 

Since all types of coffee come from only two types of beans, there are other factors that cause the difference in taste. Where they are grown makes a difference how the coffee taste. South American coffee will taste much different from beans grown in Europe. The best are grown at altitudes higher than 3000 meters. The type of roast also make a difference in how the taste of coffee. Generally, the higher the roasting deeper and richer the flavor will be.
 

How different types of coffee are prepared plays a major role in how the coffee taste. Espresso, for example will not taste like a latte, even if the same type of grains are used. How long the coffee is prepared, if the cream is added or not and whether the chocolate liquor is added will all make a difference on how the cup of coffee tastes.

White Sugar: How Is It Manufactured

Sugar is a term used to describe a class of crystalline carbohydrates, including sucrose, glucose, fructose and lactose. White sugar is the most common form of sugar used in the world. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), the consumption of sugar per day in limited supply is healthy and safe for the human body. The recommended daily intake of sugar for men and women are as follows:


The recommended daily intake of sucrose for patients with diabetes vary from patient to patient, as suffering from hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia. Sucrose consumption in excess can cause several health problems, including increased levels of acid in the blood, the depletion of vitamin B and minerals and calcium metabolism reduced.

White sugar is a highly refined chemical. It contains 99 percent sucrose. The flavor of this chemical is relatively neutral. This type of chemical is available in a variety of forms, including fine powders, sugar cubes and granules of different sizes. Crystallized sucrose is available in a variety of shades, including sucrose and sucrose table nib. Unlike the brown sugar, white sugar is not sticking together. It is very dry and smooth. It is mixed with a small amount of cornstarch to prevent clumping. White sugar has become a popular choice for sweetening beverages, making deserts and cooking. Sucrose is present in a variety of food and beverages, including jams, candies, cakes, bread and soft drinks. Sucrose is also added to vegetables, meat products and toothpaste.
White sugar is mainly derived from sugar cane and sugar beets. Sugar cane is pressed and the juice is mixed with lime. This helps balance the pH and adjust desired impurities. The resulting liquid is reduced by evaporation. The mixture is then centrifuged to separate the crystals. The crystals obtained by this method are brown and raw materials. These crystals contain a considerable amount of molasses.

 The crude crystals are subjected to bleaching chemicals such as sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide. These bleaching chemicals effective bleach mixture. The mixture is then treated with phosphoric acid and calcium hydroxide to remove impurities. Then the sugar mixture is filtered through a bed of activated carbon to remove the molasses. The mixture is then granulated pure vacuum and dried before packing.

Thailand is famous for the beautiful locations, friendly / smiley peoples and hospitality.

But there is another thing that many visitors fall in love with: thai cusine.

Most of the people who have visited Thailand might just know padthai, tom yum kung, red curry and green curry (if you know more than these dishes give an applause to yourself).

There is so much more to discover in Thai cuisine especially if you are ready to get out of your comfort zone and sample the very famous Thai street food

Thai people love "street food" and in every street corners you will find many different kind of food from traditional Thai dishes to western / modern ones (like crepes) to food coming from Laos, China, Vietnam and even muslims favorites

All the major tourist places like Koh San Road in Bangkok, Phuket, Chang Mai and Koh Samui offer hundreds of street food vendor but even in places off the tourist map you will find plenty og choice.

  2. The food and the ingredients before being cooked in front of you need to be covered by something to protect them from dust and smog. Best by a plastic or glass box but also thin towel will provide enough protection.
  3. Never drink water that is offered in the shops. This include ice the may want to add to your soft drinks or beers. It may be tempting since the water /ice is free but you will regret it later when spending all night on the toilet.
  4. Street food carts offer no menu. What you see is what you get. This may sound scary but you can guess all the ingredients just by looking at the food cooked in front of you.
  5. Street food carts that gets the most customers are the safest to eat. A constant flow of customers ensure that the ingredients are always fresh and the food cooked on order.
